Description
METHYNO describes the ethnicity of the person's mother. The codes are identical to the codes for ORIGIN, which is available in the 1881 Canadian and 1900 Norwegian censuses.
In Norway information about ethnicity in the censuses is only included in the most ethnic parts of Norway, mainly the three nethermost provinces: Nordland, Troms and Finnmark.
